Villanova University’s second TEDx event, TEDxVillanovaU: Create, Innovate, Inspire, will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 in Driscoll Hall on Villanova University’s campus. The event will consist of a suite of short, carefully prepared talks, demonstrations and performances on a wide range of subjects to foster learning, inspiration and wonder — and to provoke conversations that matter. TEDxVillanovaU captures the spirit of TED itself: cross-disciplinary, focused on the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world.
Last year, TEDxVillanovaU encompassed great enthusiasm, passion and energy from all of its speakers, attendees, performers, sponsors and more! The speakers’ talks were absolutely amazing. Each speaker and performer accurately demonstrated the theme to “Ignite Change,” leaving the audience inspired and ready to take action.
This year’s TEDxVillanovaU’s theme is to “Create, Innovate and Inspire!” We are looking forward to hearing from many creative speakers and performers, while also having many people looking to be inspired in attendance. We cannot wait to see you all there!
If you are a Villanova student interested in joining the student group collaborating to plan TEDxVillanovaU, email TEDxVillanovaU@villanova.edu or attend the meeting on Wednesday, October 2nd at 5:30 in ___. We are looking for creative, innovative and inspired students to help make this an incredible TEDxVillanovaU event. Some of the tasks students might help with include: advertising, stage design, social media design, creating a video trailer and more! Students who help in the planning of TEDxVillanovaU will also help with logistics on the day of TEDxVillanovaU and will not have to apply to attend.
